Our leather collections are made from full-grain and top-grain leather. Here are the definitions of leather terms to help you better understand them. 

  • Full-Grain Leather: The highest quality, using the entire grain of the hide. It retains natural markings and develops a rich patina over time.
  • Top-Grain Leather: The top layer of the hide is sanded and finished to remove imperfections, resulting in a more uniform look and feel.
  • Genuine Leather: Often misunderstood, this term refers to leather made from leftover pieces of hide that are shredded and bonded together. It's a more affordable option but less durable than top or full-grain.

  • Bonded Leather: Contains a low percentage of leather scraps bonded together with adhesives. It's the most budget-friendly option but lacks the durability and feel of higher grades.
